Project: Digital Partnership for Africa.
 

Vision & Statement

• The “IT Academy” facilitates and delivers affordable technology and Internet access for learning, enterprise and social development in Central Africa

• Deliver ICT skills training to support the development of human resources

• Realize the potential of thousands of young boys and girls who find themselves across the “digital divide” without access to the skills, knowledge and technology required to live, work and innovate in the global economy

 

Execution

• The Digital Partnership will be implemented through the establishment of Training Centers (Classrooms, Online, E-Learning) and social enterprise projects

• The Digital Partnership will provide a platform for a wide range of partners to contribute resources, technology, education content and technical assistance

• The partnership will benefit from the network effect and the innovative leverage of corporate resources

• After pilot in Douala, initiatives will follow in Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Chad, Congo, Central Republic,

 

Metrics

• The pilot initiative in Cameroon will commence in 2019 in Douala

• Evaluation of the pilot project will be undertaken by an independent agency to access partnership models, learning and development impact, and a cost-benefit analysis

• Lessons learned from the pilot experience in Douala, Cameroon will be used to establish model for further implementation of the project
